HIP
The HDMI over IP Extender (HIP) boosts up your video/audio transmission distance to 100 meters in HDTV 1080p format. With one low cost CAT-5/5e cable, users can readily extend HDTV sources from DVD players, PS3, PC, and any other kinds of sources compliant with TMDS to distant display monitors including HDMI enabled TV sets or LCD PC monitors. This cost effective flexibility makes HDCP compliant DVD players or PS3 transmit high quality video and audio with a greater distance at the minimal cost, when integrating several components apart.
The HDMI over IP includes two units: transmitting (HIP – Transmitter) unit and receiving (HIP- Receiver) unit. The transmitting unit is used to capture the input HDMI signals and carries the signals thru one RJ-45 connector into one low cost CAT-5/5e/6 cables. The receiving unit is responsible for equalizing the sent TMDS multimedia data. The transmission distance between the sending and receiving units can be up to 100 meters at 1080p.
The IR Pass through Control function is best suited for a Point-To-Point application, and is of limited value in a Point-To-Many environment.
Can be used to distribute HD digital content from one source to up to 200 displays on a LAN by cascading Ethernet switches up to 3 levels, allowing the farthest display to be located up to 1,000’ away from the 1080p source device while sustaining excellent picture & sound quality. Each device is installed using 1 piece of UTP or STP cable. All available LAN technology can be used to connect the Tx and the Rx; e.g., Ethernet, WLAN, HomePNA and EoC.
