The UV1-S converts a VGA signal to a format suitable for transmission over a UTP Cat.5 cable and sends this signal to one of the following devices: UV1-R and UV1-R-WP. The UV1-S is supplied phantom power via the Cat5 cable from the sending unit or from a local power supply. The UV1-S can be located up to 500 feet (150 m.) from the sending unit with little to no degradation of video quality.
